Alright everyone, I need everyone to read this carefully:

We've changed the DP code. Instead of adding new rows into the database, all it does is swaps the user ID of the existing DP. There is no area of the code that DP's can actually be deleted. However, some are still apparently finding issues with lost DP's. How, I have no clue. None of the staff have been able to recreate the problem, nor identify anything flawed in the code. I'm getting #$(*#&@$(@*#& frustrated with this bug.

So here's what I know. The trading page will no longer show DP's in a trade after the trade has ended. In other words, once a trade is canceled or confirmed, the "Packages: #" will disappear from the trade. The only way to know for certain if those altered is to check the inventory page.

In the interim from some of this changing, some people lost some DP's. For those of you who did, please send a message to TheMod, do not post about it in this thread. This thread needs to be for anyone who is trading DP's after this point.

What I need from anyone who is trading DP's, whether you're sending or receiving, is to keep a vigilant eye on every single DP that you have, where it currently is (or is supposed to be), and at what specific point it changes hands, etc. I need to know the user ID of both the recipient and the sender.

IF all is fixed, then there shouldn't be any problems. But this code has been enough of a pain for me to foolishly assume that it would stop now. So, please, if you're going to trade DP's, keep track of EVERYTHING, as well as make sure your recipient has also read this page, and knows what to expect. If anything is lost, post it here so we can tend to the issue. I need to hear the stories from BOTH people who made a transaction; not just one side.

i think ur doing a good job acid:) it pobably is a big pain.

Donth just helped with a really nice update.

"I had 6 junes, I traded one with _____, I checked my inventory, and it was gone, (5 were left) he hadnt accepted the trade yet. I sent another trade with 2 this time, and checked my inventory, and only 1 had left (4 were there, when I should of had 3) I just cancelled both trades, and now, I have my original 6 back."

In other words, the trading system gave the illusion that there were less, but really, the system didn't remove those from inventory. This may be a cause of what some people are noticing.

Edit: Okay, even more good news:

"ok did both trades the exact same, and yes, still have 4 in my inventory when i should have 3, ____ is accepting now, he has none in his inventory atm. [Then, after accepting] he only has 2"

In other words, the trade was supposed to send 3, but it only recognized 2. The two were sent appropriately to _____, but the third did not. However, it wasn't deleted. It just didn't get sent. Donth had 4 after the trade, and ____ had 2, for the total original 6. So, there seems to be a problem with sending multiple donation packages - however, as I had originally hoped, DP's are not actually being deleted so far.

Thank you so much Acid and Melting for dealing with this pain in the butt! Though I did not lose any DP's or HB's(whatever you wanna call them ) this will help a lot and hopefully this fixing will *fingers crossed* be gone for awhile and not have any problems.

EDIT: So far so good! At least most of the problem has been fixed.

Just a thought for anyone who wants to be on the safe side? If the person who is on the receiving end knows what item they want from the DP, maybe go ahead and select the item before sending it? Won't work if someone just wants a DP for future trading purposes or something, but at least if you're looking for a particular item, would be safe. Just thinking...

Hopefully it's fixed though, for poor Acid's sanity as well as our trading! *hugs*
